Slice! And the Crimson Reality Flows.
I thought the subject of this post was more interesting than the post itself… Lol. Moving on. [Yes, I fixed a typo just now in the first line... for those of you who came here because of my new blog entry notice e-mail.]
Let’s discuss the important topics, then (just like a good article in the newspaper) all the finer details will be reserved for last… (Low-Class Translation: Everything that I would care about that you won’t will be found later on.)
I have a driver’s license. I have an addiction to Latin House Krew. (Have for a while now… Oxymoron! Hawt.) I have new headphones. I have a car. I have a job (Best Buy). I’m going to training for it on Sunday. (OK, that was a secondary detail; oops on my behalf.)
This week has been anything but Spring Break. We can even vaguely reference it to hell, except colder.
I awoke on Monday morning at 5AM. Keep in mind that the last time I woke up this early was because I was sick, or my family was going on vacation (over 5 years ago). That said, we departed with my friend who also was to take the driving test that morning. We waited until 7:30, when they unlocked the doors (finally)?…
I didn’t know we had to have a Social security card available right there to take it, and I hadn’t filled out the application, nor had I taken the written test. We went to the Social security office twice (read the previous post to find out more about this tragic day)…
On Tuesday, I rested up for my first interview (in person) with Best Buy. Last Saturday, they had called me and did a short phone interview… I guess I did good, because I was called into an interview on (You guessed it!) Tuesday. I did that interview, and if I do say so myself, I bombed severely. If I like you, ask me how you can get guaranteed success at being hired… if I don’t like you, ask me too–I’ll make sure you don’t work there (;
Anyway, I was told I would have another interview, and so it was done; I had two more interviews, and here I am, four interviews and one orientation session later…
On Friday (or so), Devin Whorton told me he was applying so I sort of helped him along with the application; He got called and I told him ahead what the questions would be and I’m guessing he did good so now he gets to work with me. Woot
[I forgot to mention him until I finally IMed him to tell him I was done; Oops...]
FYI: Why do I do that (Typing out whole name)? I do that so that people can figure out where their name has been on the Internet… (; Search for Frederick Szczepanski–Yes, that guy on PC World’s Answer Line in multiple languages is me…
My headphones finally arrived; Thursday, about 15 minutes before I had to leave for my 2nd and 3rd interviews (crammed into less than two hours)… You can read back exactly two posts to find links to their pages. I’ve found very few differences between them (aside from one costing three times more than the other one)… However, I did notice a few things that may make them worth the money. One, they fold… Though I find that feature utterly worthless, others may find that convenient. I think it just allows the cord to bend more and may make their life shorter. There’s only a 90-Day warranty, FYI. After that short grace period, you have to pay for all your fixes (; The more expensive models gained a pretty bad reputation.
Right now, I’m listening to one of my favorite DJ’s–Latin House Krew. It’s a group of three Hispanic artists, DJ Ivy, DJ Spin, and DJ Phinatik. (Not just alphabetical, but they’re listed in the order that I like their mixing styles. All three are superb, since they usually team up to mix continuously without a break. HAHA! No pun intended… Whoa, severe DJ pun there. Break, get it? OK…)
I really don’t feel like writing in this, but I haven’t, and a lot has developed. On Saturday, I went to UTD for a visit in a real class… It’s a nice school, but I’m still not sure–I’m confused!
In closing, I have a few interesting things for you:
-This hasn’t been a break for me. If anything, I’ve had to work harder than I ever have before.
-I had a really weird dream; If I care to talk about it, I will later on, but not now.
-so much is happening in a short period of time.
Is this how life is from now on? I knew to expect things at a faster pace as I got older, but I’m going to hate having to make all my decisions for myself. It’s been nice having people guide me along, and I certainly don’t want to start college alone. I want to get back with my ex badly; I feel like that’s the only person I’ll want to spend the rest of my life with. Odd to close off bridges before even getting to them, if you know what I mean, but that seems like the latest trend now. Let’s just hope what we’re doing is right, and not look to the future. So I ask of you, let’s live in the present, and be prepared for the future, but just not think about it too much (; Because with every moment you think about your future, you’re wasting the present.
I’m a horrible procrastinator; I really need to stop doing that. On top of that, I thought I’d give you some music. This is (by far) one of the most amazing tracks I’ve found of electronica. It’s just a multitude of genres and styles of music, into one 12:22 (12-minute, 22- second) track. Have a link:
DJ Ivy – DJ Ivy on Acid (Latin House Krew).wma This is 32Kbps; I have it in its original bitrate if you want it… Even if you don’t really like electronica or the other music on my site, check that out. Really awesome, riiiiiiiight? You better agree…
I know this post wasn’t up to my normal quality but I had to publish something… On to Monday, where I don’t have to work, then Tuesday, where my actual jobs starts at 4:30 (with tests)!…
