Planning Doesn’t Preserve. Let’s Watch All My Plans Go To Hell!
—
Let’s describe how my plans actually went:
Today’s Agenda:
+5AM: Wake up (wow, got one right!)
+550: Leave House (10 Mins Later… that’s OK.)
+600: Arrive (Take test? HA! They open at 7:30.)
+800: Find out that you cannot take the test because a) You do not have your Social Security Number (or card) with you, b) You haven’t taken the written test yet, c) You haven’t filled out the application yet, d) You don’t have the Receipt for payment of the Driving Fee.
+900: Wait for Friend to Finish up to take him home; he failed his test. Sucked at parellel parking.
+10A: Depart to go to the Social Security Administration Office.
+1030: Arrive, get papers. There are only two people in line, and two windows open (woot!)
11A: Back to the DPS.
1130: Arrive at the DPS; “This isn’t what you need! It doesn’t say your social security number! You need a paper stating your nmber with your name, not just something that says you will get it in the mail in two weeks!” Go back where you came from. Step, Revert!
1145: Back to the Social Security Administration Office. There is now a line of 20+ people, and 2 windows open. We wait, for an hour, just to get a printout that takes 30 seconds. [Un-woot, indeed.]
1PM: We arrive back at the DPS where I turn in all my needed papers; woot for me. I wait about 45 minutes then take the Written Test. I make an 88%, even though I missed any question I had related to drinking and driving… but this is Texas; Who cares?!
230: Finally leave.
300: Pick up Chinese Food!
330: Home Sweet Home.
400: Find out that the Sear’s I am going to go to a job interview for is too far (and “too full of black people”); I call, let the phnoe ring 200 times [literally] to know I won’t be able to make it, and give up.
410: I am asleep.
[I know this isn't relevant, but...]
Sometime While Sleeping: I dreamed about Chris and how I tried to be his friend again, and it didn’t work because I said what I did was unforgivable and such. Am I just getting around to processing that?
+630: Still @ Home Sweet Home.
I am definitely still on for the Best Buy interview tomorrow! Hawt indeed… And, that’s why I don’t plan ahead.
